The online platform was the brain-child of Senior Associate Debolina Saha Narayanan<\/strong><\/a> of Hong Kong based US law firm, Dorsey & Whitney LLP.<\/a> In the mission to inspire success amongst women, she is ably assisted by three young volunteers Shubhaankar Ray<\/a> and Mansi Meena<\/a> (both from NALSAR<\/strong>, University of Law) and Alice Tsui<\/a> (from Hong Kong University)<\/strong>.The platform was formed with the aim to provide internship opportunities to first generation female students who come from lesser-known colleges or colleges that are yet to have an established alumni network, or from humble backgrounds, so as to help shape careers of such young students.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Internship Bank whose motto is to \u201cconnect today\u2019s successful women to tomorrow\u2019s successful women<\/em>\u201d has now become a buzz word amongst college students. The platform not only connects internship opportunities extended by successful senior women professionals to upcoming female professionals but provides mentorship and safe working environment to young students who would otherwise struggle to source such opportunities. Thus in the long run, Internship Bank aims to bring about diversity and inclusion and close the gender gap in the legal profession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
