It creates estoppels by judgment against the parties, thereby putting an end to further litigation between the parties.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Court&#8217;s Analysis<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>It is well\u00ad settled that consent decrees are intended to create estoppels by judgment against the parties, thereby putting an end to further litigation between the parties. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Resultantly, this Court has held that it would be slow to unilaterally interfere in, modify, substitute or modulate the terms of a consent decree <strong><em>unless it is done with the revised consent of all the parties thereto.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, this formulation is far from absolute and does not apply as a blanket rule in all cases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Supreme Court in the case of <em><a href=\"https:\/\/indiankanoon.org\/doc\/476707\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Byram Pestonji Gariwala v.
