In the backdrop of the initiation of India\u2019s tenure as an Elected Member of the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) for the period 2021-22, the University is organising a Special Lecture Series on UNSC. Various sessions organised as a part of this Lecture Series shall focus on discussing key issues pertaining to the Security Council.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>As one of the principal organs of the United Nations, the UNSC is primarily responsible for maintaining international peace and security across the globe. The Member States of the Security Council play an instrumental role in the settlement of disputes among different parties and thereby, make a significant contribution to global peace and prosperity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>A lecture on the subject- <strong>\u2018Priorities of Kenyaas an Elected Member of the UNSC\u2019 <\/strong>is pertinent to understand the key priority areas of Kenya during its membership period at the Security Council.
