The accused was <a href=\"https:\/\/lexforti.com\/legal-news\/the-power-under-section-482-of-the-code-of-criminal-procedure-1973-cannot-be-exercised-where-the-allegations-are-required-to-be-proved-in-court-of-law\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">alleged to have targeted the vulnerable sections<\/a> like deaf, mute, women, children, students etc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The charges had been framed under <a href=\"https:\/\/lexforti.com\/legal-news\/criminal-conspiracy-120b-ipc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Sections 120B<\/a>, 153A, 153B, 295A, 420, 541(1) of Indian Penal Code and Sections 3 and 5 of UP Prohibition of Unlawful Conversion of Religious Act, 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He had been arrested by the Uttar Pradesh police Anti-Terror Squad on the charges of mass conversion of people to Islam religion, by inducing them though means such as marriage, job, money, and mental pressure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Regarding this case, the accused filed an instant <a href=\"https:\/\/lexforti.com\/legal-news\/challenge-124a-ipc-constitutional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">plea before the Allahabad HC and challenged<\/a> leakage of sensitive and controversial information about him and sought for prohibition of such premature statements and untrue reports from being published in any form of media.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The counsel on behalf of petitioner-accused submitted that the UP police failed to confine the distribution of information to the essential facts and rather disclosed facts which were unconfirmed, judgemental, and speculative, which subsequently caused irreparable <a href=\"https:\/\/lexforti.com\/legal-news\/to-invoke-section-73-of-the-indian-contract-act-the-claimant-must-have-to-prove-that-damage-is-caused-due-to-the-respondents-breach-of-contract\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">damage to petitioner\u2019s liberty and his chance to prove<\/a> his innocence.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The bench stated that according to Justice Chandrachud\u2019s judgment, the press has the right to report.
